Pakistan and war on Terror

I still remember playing in the playground freely with my friends. You must be shocked but yes! I was free and peaceful. I have a lot to eat and a lot to buy but that was until I was not engaged in war. The ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN was not only an independent country but also a peaceful part of the world but one incident change the life’s of its people forever .Yes I m talking about 9/11!It would be the worst incident for America  but for Pakistan it is an holocaust ,both physically and emotionally.

After 9/11 the image of Muslims totally changed all over the world. Instead of putting them as humans first they were labeled as terrorist. Even a new born Muslim is considered as terrorist. In urge to fight Taliban and Osama bin laden this so called ‘war on terrorism’ started. The events of 9/11 represented a critical threshold in Pakistan’s foreign policy. Pakistan is a God gifted country in which from fruits to coal it’s full of treasures which really make me think that was that really war on terror which according to them was typically afghan war or just a drama by the US to invade and mess with our economy.
Since 2005, this slavery was started. Musharraf blindly accepting US invasion and by signing NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION(NATO) our leaders proved that they are going to proceed with this useless war which is totally hopeless. Our thousands of people have lost their lives and which caused a total social instability in the country. It’s not that peaceful anymore no! Not THAT just’ NOT’ peaceful. And this is where the dilemma starts.
As North Waziristan borders with Afghanistan, drone strikes were more than ever in my country. Due to their own perception of terrorist hiding in FATA, they started drone attacks on that area, making it world most dangerous place. These drone strikes rarely killed any terrorist but mostly innocent blood was shed. Even if its school, house, Masjid they just strike anywhere they want. Usually after strikes they give lame excuse that it was considered to be a terrorist training camp .With the same excuse without noticing they strike on school on their sports day which killed innocent children in North Waziristan.

These invasions lead to the crucial effect on our economy which particularly involves tourism. People are more scared to come to Pakistan. They say “if u had to go to Pakistan than better make your funeral arrangements. “This is the image that is depicted to the world and even in the country. Even I am scared at times! And this due to our Media greed of getting good rating they make small things look bigger. And our leaders and media stakeholder instead of being a watch dog act like a street dog infront of US. These circumstances affect tourism and on the top peasants, which was later put under the carpet by US aid.

I want that garden back in which I can go anywhere I want, play as much I want, eat as much I want. The things that we lost because of the US invasion a lead factor in making our market bearish and leaving scars on us as nation.US aid is not a help but a money making machine for our  leaders. There is a outrage on people faces when they hear the name ‘AMERICA’. And  I think it is pretty normal because if you put it on yourself and imagine your whole family died in this so called war on terror in an drone strike you won’t be distributing sweets in the streets yet you will feel revengeful and angry. So instead of calling us a terrorist a one should check who created it!
