Pakistan is not just a developing but evolving country that is still growing apart from its political and economic instability. Every day it’s growing vigorously. As Pakistan prepares to commemorate its 75th anniversary in August, a rush of patriotism and love for the country is in the air. Every house, street, and the market has begun to adorn with national flags, and patriotic anthems can be heard in every mall. Roads and buildings are adorned with green and white lights that can take anybody’s breath away. 'PAKISTAN ZINDABAD' chants may be heard practically everywhere, including malls, marketplaces, schools, academies, and hospitals.
Pakistan's Independence Day has a certain vibe about
it. Everyone's eyes will be filled with joy and gratitude. There are stalls
selling flags, badges, hats, and many other patriotic decorations on every
street corner, and there isn't a single street without their display of
patriotism. You are constantly reminded of the unwavering determination of
those who gave up both their life and their possessions to bring their goal to
have a separate land to reality.
Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the leader who achieved the Iqbal
vision declared Pakistan as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan where all Muslims and
all minorities have equal rights and protection. On 14th
August 1947, Muslims of the subcontinent were finally able to have equal
rights to follow Islam with freedom. He brought forward three basic
principles that are and will e the basic key to holding the nation together in
future
On April 12, 1948, the Quaid-e-Azam told students at
the Islamic College in Peshawar,
"The success of our achievement will
depend on our Unity, Faith, and Discipline."
He gave the roadmap to prosperity in Pakistan in simple words. He explained that We can make Pakistan immensely powerful if we use these ideals in our personal, social, and political lives. unity means cooperation with one another. discipline means following certain principles. The third advancement principle is faith. This is the connecting principle or ideology. It may foster unity and discipline in a crowd.
While Muslims in the subcontinent were so much happy after achieving Allama Iqbal's vision and completing the two-nation theory, new challenges were awaiting them. For over seventy years the country has failed to meet its goals and has fallen far behind. Poverty, corruption, and injustice have afflicted us. And there are still many challenges that the country has yet to resolve. But Qaid’s words are what still is keeping the nation together even in tough times.
In both the political and social framework, we have efficient democratic institutions. There are many things we need to be proud of. We all must remember how we are still striving and achieving in many many ways. Pakistanis remember and honor those who offered their lives to secure the independence of their country. The ceremony of changing the guard is also performed at the mausoleums of Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and Allama Iqbal, the man credited with developing the country's ideology.
We have had many golden historical moments in our seventy years of history
and have contributed to the betterment of the world in every field. We have
strong armed forces that have constantly demonstrated professionalism, courage,
devotion, and sacrifice in defending Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial
integrity. Our nation and people have made unparalleled sacrifices to defend
our country, especially against the evils of extremism, terrorism, and
separatism.
This year has
been exceptional. Pakistanis are making everyone proud in sports, music,
filmmaking, etc. Nothing is stopping them. from Joyland winning big
at the Cannes Film Festival to Arshad Nadeem being the first South Asian
to pass 90 meters and the first Pakistani to win an athletics gold medal at the
Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. This Independence Day, we have another cause
to celebrate not just our rich history, but also our hopes for the future.
