Ongoing Genocide In
Kashmir: The Fascism of India’s Violation Of Human Rights
Kashmir, heaven on earth has become hell on earth for Kashmiris under Indian occupation. Pakistan observes Youm-e-Istehsal on August 5 since 2019 to highlight the illegal practices of the Indian military in illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemn their illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional steps to strip illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir of its special status.
On 5th August 2019, Modi's fascist regime took a unilateral step in which they scrapped the special constitutional status of the Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian government pushed the ‘Hindutva’ agenda which represented the extremist and expansionist BJP-RSS mindset. The main idea is to change the demographic structure of the region. And secondly, to fuel their islamophobic intentions by turning the Muslim majority into a minority. For that, they blatantly violated relevant UN Security Council Resolutions and international laws, particularly the 4th Geneva Convention. Kashmiris, Pakistan, journalists, humanitarian workers, international human rights organizations, and members of the international community have also raised their voices and have rejected this illegal violation of human rights.
About eight million Kashmiris are being held as
captives In their own houses. They are cut off from the outside world. It is a
crime against humanity that has resulted in the death of people, the
destruction of their means of living, and the threat to their very identity in
Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). India is once again shown to the
world as an oppressor and an aggressor.
While the genuine
Kashmiri political leadership is still behind bars, young men are being
extrajudicial killed in "false encounters". They are banned in their
own space with no internet which made it difficult for them to communicate
with the outside world purposefully. This cut-off is done to conceal
the extent of the Indian military abuse of their human rights.
The international community and world bodies, including the OIC should take note of the barbaric actions of the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. Press coverage from the occupied territory should be completely unrestricted.
